Most rebuilds after water damage involve a homeowners claim. Understanding how the claim and the repair plan fit together saves time.
You own the claim. You also own the rebuild agreement. They connect through the scope of work, not through a promise that every line will be paid.
You own the claim
Your policy is between you and your insurance company. The insurer decides what is covered.
We prepare clear, detailed repair plans and work with your adjuster to explain the repairs needed. We don't negotiate coverage or represent you in a dispute.
Where the repair plan fits
After drying, the claim usually needs a rebuild scope: drywall, flooring, cabinets, paint, trim and related labor. Room-by-room line items are easier to review than a single lump sum.
We'll help document the work needed to put the affected areas back together. Photos from the drying stage help show why those lines are there.
When the insurer already wrote up the repairs
If your insurance company has already written up the repairs, we can review the reconstruction scope and discuss any differences.
Differences are common. A cabinet that looked savable early on may fail after drying. Tell us what you think is missing and we'll review it with you.
Choosing a contractor and payment
In most cases you can choose your reconstruction company. A free evaluation from Flood Rewind does not require you to hire us.
Payment terms belong in your reconstruction agreement. Ask what is due at signing, during the job and at the final walkthrough.
